The Oasis is a lot of fun once is gets filled up with a tipsy crowd on karaoke night.

Despite its large size and multiple pool tables, the Oasis is a casual southern beach area bar that could be considered a hole in the wall.
Best Nights to Go
Good live bands at the Oasis are hit or miss. The best nights to go are Tuesday and Saturday after midnight. You'll find it 12 minutes from Folly Beach, just past La Hacienda.

Oceanside Pool Bar & Riptide at the Holiday Inn
Exactly what you think of when someone says island bar. It’s just a little hut with tables sprinkled around it. You'll find it in front of the Holiday Inn, by the pool overlooking the beach.
At the Beach
If you are at the beach, don't worry about attire, just walk right up in your bare feet and order a drink. As long as it’s not in a glass container, you can take alcohol back out on the beach.
Open Seasonally
It's only open during the warm seasons and gets crowded on hot days. The indoor bar, called Riptide is open year round, but not late-night.

Planet Follywood
Tacky, yet creative theme for a traditional Folly Beach Pub.
Theme
The first thing you'll notice is the portraits of old movie stars painted all around the outside. The theme is carried throughout, even in the food.
Food & Atmosphere
Speaking of the food, they've got excellent juicy burgers. Kind of quiet, yet it's a good place to watch a big game.

Of all the Folly Beach area bars, this one is furthest from Folly, yet made our list because it's an outstanding music venue.
Quality Musicians
Its not a huge place, but the acoustics are always great, and it manages to attract quality musicians.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere is warm and highly populated with hippies and jazz lovers.

Go away from the ocean on Center St (turns into Folly Rd). Turn left (at McDonalds) on Maybank Hwy. Look for the sign on the left with EL BOHIO and The Pour House. It will take you a good 15-20 minutes from Folly Beach.

Members and guests of members only, yet this private club only costs a dollar to join.
Mixture of Customers
Once inside you will find the oddest mixture of friendly bikers, tourists, college students, hippies and interesting characters.
No Credit Cards
They don't take plastic so make sure you bring some cash. But at least the drinks are cheap. You are sure to have an interesting experience in this very raw yet friendly Folly Beach bar.

Top Level Bar
The top level bar is partially open air and full of college students and beach loving people.
Lower Level Bar
The lower level bar has pool tables and ping pong. There are satellite TVs everywhere.
Fun Place to Socialize
Snapper Jack's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fried grouper is really good. This is a fun place to go and socialize.
